nutrition lifestyle techniques to manage menopause symptoms

Perimenopause Specialist

What is Perimenopause?

Perimenopause is the 2-12 years before menopause and can be the time of greatest symptoms. Fluctuating hormones during perimenopause when progesterone flatlines and oestrogen fluctuates from high to low may cause changes to your weight and body composition, sleep, brain fog and mood, menstrual cycles and period patterns.

These can be hard to navigate by yourself not least because they will vary from female to female. For one female it may be unexplained low mood and heightened irritability, whilst for another it may be feelings of overwhelm, anxiety and ‘getting through each day.’

How I can help you?

I can help you thrive through your perimenopause journey providing personalised guidance and support, starting with an assessment of your current dietary intake, lifestyle habits, medications and/or supplements.

I work with you to create a realistic plan to restore balance until you reach menopause which is a kinder and calmer phase of life.

The benefits of hormone testing

Sometimes at this critical life stage, I will recommend the Dutch Complete Hormone Test. This can be beneficial in these instances:

  1. When clients are considering hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and a baseline level of hormones can inform HRT.
  2. When clients are already taking HRT but are still symptomatic.
  3. When it’s unclear which hormones may driving your symptoms.
