I want all users of my website to know that I care about your privacy. I will never sell, rent or trade personal information. In fact, as a general rule – I only ask for and process information that I need in order to provide my services to you. This page explains my approach to privacy and how it affects you.
I measure visitors to my website using Google Analytics. This records what pages you view within my site, how you arrived on my site and some basic information about your computer. All of that information is anonymous – so I don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited my site.
The information collected from analytics helps me understand what parts of my site is doing well, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, I use this information to make my website better. You can learn more about Google Analytics or opt out if you wish.
These services provide social buttons and similar features which I may use on my website – such as the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons. To do so I embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x of your friends like this”. I do not have any access to that information, nor can I control how those networks use it.
Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services.
Information that you submit via any of the contact forms found on this website is used to help me respond to your enquiry. I do not store this information on the website’s database – it is simply delivered to me by email so that I can respond to your enquiry. I may keep this information in case I need to refer to it in the future and for my clients, I have an obligation to store client records for 5 years. I store communications as part of these records.
As part of the registration process for my email newsletter, I collect personal information (your name and email). I use that information to send you news about my business, it’s services and my latest content via email. I don’t share or trade email lists with other organisations / businesses.
I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver my newsletter. It gathers statistics around email opens and clicks using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe from my newsletters at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of such emails or contacting me via my contact form.
To help prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. I take the following precautions:
I value your trust in providing me with your personal information, thus I am striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.
As mentioned above, I try to only collect information that I need from you. You are entitled to view, amend, and in some cases request the deletion of the personal information that I hold about you. If you have such a request or any questions about this policy, please contact me.
